At age of 19, José undertook to explore the world and for two years travelled to more than 30 countries. On his return, he attended Université du Québec in Montréal where he obtained a degree in communications. After graduation, he accepted an offer and came to the Outaouais to start a business—World Expedition, a adventure-travel agency located in Ottawa. José then founded Expedition Shoppe, a travel and adventure outfitters boutique. The Expedition Shoppe banner includes four retail stores and more than 30 employees in Ottawa.
